Character: Minato Namikaze
Fandom: Naruto (I will be taking Minato from a point before he got his nickname of 'Konoha's Yellow Flash')

History: As a student in the academy Minato was considered a prodigy, a rare kind of genius that only comes once a generation. During his time in the Academy, he met his future wife, Kushina Uzumaki. The first time she met him though she believed him to be 'unreliable' and 'girly'. Minato continued through the Academy and ended up graduating at the age of ten and was placed in a team that was taught by Jiraiya of the legendary Sannin.

Years later, Kumogakure ninjas snuck into Konoha and kidnapped Kushina for her special chakra. As they were leading Kushina to Kumo, she left a trail of her red hair so that Konoha could find her. Near the border, it seemed it was over when Minato, who had been the only one to catch the trail, appeared and defeated the Kumo ninjas to save Kushina. After saving her, Minato comments that he always admired her hair and this ended up moving Kushina. Kushina fell in love with Minato after that. Currently, Minato and Kushina are extremely close but not officially lovers yet.

Under his tutelage with Jiraiya, Minato grew spectacularly. Jiraiya eventually even took Minato on as an apprentice. Jiraiya taught Minato sealing jutsus, how to summon frogs, and also taught Minato some of his philosophy. Minato's growth amazed Jiraiya and Jiraiya eventually ended up believing that Minato was the 'Child of Prophecy', a savior of the world which Jiraiya was destined to teach.

It was only a matter of time until Minato became a jonin. Minato eventually took his own team of  genin students. His team consisted of a medic nin called Rin Nohara, the black sheep of the Uchiha clan Obito Uchiha, and the child genius Kakashi Hatake. By now, his team is all chunin and Kakashi is pushing the level of jonin.

Personality: Minato is a very calm and collected individual. Even when enraged, there is a sort of collectiveness about him. He is also highly perceptive and can pick up little things easily. This has come from his years of training as a ninja. Minato excels at the ninja idea of 'Looking underneath the underneath' because of this and can be extremely tricky himself.

Minato is an extremely kind and loving man qho lives for those precious to him. Not only that but he views everyone in Konoha and all ninja in the world as a kind of huge ninja family. He shows respect to even enemy ninjas when they show certain aspects of personality or strength. He treats his allies and friends with immense kindness and the utmost respect.

When it comes to the people that Minato sees as precious he can be very protective. To him, they are the source of his power and as his inspiration to be a great ninja. He fusses over them if he is worried about them, even if they really don't need him to. He can be extremely overprotective and there is no easier way to infuriate Minato then to threaten those precious to him. When they are threatened, Minato's calm and kind nature shifts and he can turn into a collected and cold ninja driven by a need to protect.

Minato's willpower is nothing short of incredible. Once he sets his mind to it there is very little that you can do to stop him from accomplishing his goal. Minato is very determined and rarely falters even in overwhelming odds. His sheer ability to push through obstacles has lead to him being as formidable of a ninja as he is.

Minato can be a very shrewd man and very rarely does things without a reason. He can be extremely tricky and tactical, making small actions into game changing actions. He has a tendency to think several moves ahead and will even take in other peoples actions and personality into his calculations. In this sense, Minato can be considered a genius.

Other: Minato is a skilled ninja with the rank of jonin. His specialty is his immense speed which few ninjas in the world can even get close to. Minato is a seal master who is skilled enough to plant certain types of seals on other people without them even noticing simply by touching them. Minato also has a contract with the frog summons of his world and has enough chakra to summon the frog boss, Gamabunta. He is currently working on two unique jutsus of his own as well.

First Person: 

I understand that a lot of you in the community have to fight a lot in your worlds. I can understand how that feels as my world is full of fighting, in fact there is a war going on right now. So there was something I wanted to ask all of you so that I could get a better feel for you. Do you have someone precious in your life? I ask because I believe when you are protecting and fighting for someone precious is when you can be truly strong.

Third Person:

Minato rubs his slightly chakra burned hands and sighs. He was getting closer to making his new jutsu to work, he could feel it. Nearly three years worth of work but it was almost finished. A justu that is the highest point of chakra shape transformation. Minato pauses to think of starting his training to perfect it up again but flinches as he realizes that would just make Kushina mad again. She was worried when she saw his chakra burns and got mad and bopped him on the head when he tried to continue. If he tried to continue with these burns she might actually try and hurt him to make sure he got some rest. Minato gets up and moves to gather his team. He may not be able to train but it would be a good idea to at least help his team train. Who knows, he might even get an idea or two on the jutsu from helping them.
